Qld: Coalition promises to return police beat to city mall

Queensland's Opposition says a 24-hour police presence would be returned to Brisbane's
Queen Street Mall under a Coalition government.

Opposition Leader LAWRENCE SPRINGBORG says the police patrols are needed to cut the
number of assaults along the city strip.

He says the Labor's decision to move the police away from the mall has been disastrous
for public safety.
