VIC:Plane crash survivor stabilised
MELBOURNE, Aug 15 AAP - The survivor of a light plane crash in western Victoria is
being stabilised at Wimmera Base Hospital in Horsham before she is flown to Melbourne.
Her two companions, a man and a woman, died when the plane crashed in a paddock near
Wallup, near Dimboola, around 6.30pm (AEST).
The woman was picked up by a helicopter ambulance and was in a critical condition with
head, chest and rib injuries.
It's believed all three are from nearby Nhill.
Local farmers heard the plane flying low before a loud crash and informed police and
emergency services who found the wreckage around 8.30pm.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will investigate the crash scene on Tuesday morning.
